HammondCare Hammondville are currently looking for a Part-Time Laundry Attendant to join the team.

About the Role

This role is based in an aged care home where specialised care is given to residents with dementia and complex care needs.

This is a broad role where you will be required to work in the laundry room and as a driver. We are looking for someone who has a willingness to learn and enjoys working in a team environment.

Shift times: 

Mon, Wed & Fri (3:30pm - midnight) and Thursday 9am - 1pm/5:30pm. Other shifts times may vary to cover leave. 

The essence of the role includes:

  • Collect, launder, process and delivery of professionally cleaned linen to internal and external customers
  • Communicate with Managers, Supervisors and other staff both internal and external to ensure timely action and completion of laundry related issues
  • Completes role responsibilities without close supervision

About you

  • Demonstrated ability to work individually and in a team situation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of safe manual handling, infection control and standard precautions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
  • High level communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A medium rigid (MR) driver’s licence or above and have a clean driving record - highly desirable 
  • Demonstrated experience driving a 16 tonne truck or above - highly desirable
