About the role  

HammondCare are currently implementing Workday as their new Human Capital Management (HCM) system.   We are seeking a Workday Systems Manager who will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimisation of the Workday HCM system. This role acts as a key liaison across HammondCare to ensure that Workday supports current and future business needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in Workday, outstanding problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.

This is a permanent full-role role based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include

  • System Administration: Manage day-to-day operations of the Workday platform, including configuration, business process maintenance, security, and user access
  • Project Management: Lead or support Workday-related projects such as system upgrades, new module implementations, and integrations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with all stakeholders across HammondCare to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards to support operational requirements
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday support and other third-party vendors or consultants
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to end users and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure data integrity and compliance as applicable
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and user feedback to recommend enhancements and best practices
  • Ensure strong governance across Workday system configurations and processes, maintaining compliance with organisational policies and sector standards
  • Leadership of the Team: Lead and mentor the Workday team ensuring high performance and a focus on continuous improvement. Conduct regular reviews, provide coaching, and drive professional growth within the team.

About You  

  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Significant experience in Workday administration and modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Recruiting, Payroll etc
  • Strong understanding of Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, etc.) and calculated fields
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • A current driver’s licence and safe driving record and a willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites and services when required
  • Outstanding stakeholder relationship skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
