About the role  

The People Coordinator is responsible for supporting the national HammondCare team on first-level People related matters whilst providing a great employee experience and ensuring services are delivered meeting policy, procedure, and compliance requirements.

This is a permanent position, based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Manage, investigate, analyse, and resolve  Tier 0 and Tier 1 people related enquiries in Salesforce, providing accurate and timely first-level advice to internal stakeholders
  • Generate employment contracts and variation letters for existing employees, outside a standard recruitment process, ensuring accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
  • Generate other people related letters as required, e.g. statements of service, jury duty, parental leave, and refer a friend letters, etc
  • Support People Compliance Consultant with compliance and employment screening checks including but not limited to Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks, NDIS and Working rights for existing employees
  • Analyse trends from enquiries and translate these into insights
  • Maintain governance of all internal people processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal People teams to resolve complex enquires. Determine when to triage the enquiry to People Advisor or another People team
  • Work with People Central Manager to identify and implement opportunities to improve the employee experience
  • Active contribution of projects and tasks as required by People Central Manager or the wider People Team
  • Complete adhoc duties as required

 About You  

  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
  • A tertiary degree in HR or a related field either from university or TAFE
  • A minimum of one year experience working in an office environment (preferably in the HR field or a Junior HR role)
  • A proactive approach in establishing good working relationships and demonstrating influence with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver work to high quality and attention to detail

Desirable (not essential):  

  • Experience working within a tier shared services/ centralised model
  • Experience using Workday or other HRIS
  • Experience in aged care / health settings
  • Experienced in operating effectively in a multi-site environment
