About the role
The Business Analyst Role supports the scoping, design and mapping of both current and future HR processes across the employee lifecycle. The Business Analyst will play a critical role to ensure that business requirements are captured and clearly articulated at project inception to provide traceability through aligned scope and outcomes. The Business Analyst will also perform mapping of business processes and make improvement recommendations to ensure high quality project outcomes are delivered, ensuring a one way same way approach across all business portfolios.
The role will report into the Change & Transformation Lead within the HRIS Workday Program but will work closely with the relevant Stream Leads across the Program including HCM, Recruitment, Talent & Performance, Learning, Compensation and Data.
This is a six month contract based at St Leonards and has working from home options with flexibility to work from other HammondCare locations if required.

Key Focus Areas
- To ensure that HammondCare gets the best value from its investment in its future HRIS
- Define and map current and future state business processes during business case development to ensure appropriate technical solutions are selected and are strategically aligned
- Elicitation of high-quality business requirements aligned to their areas of scope
- Facilitation of business requirements workshops and meetings
- Converting business requirements into functional specifications to support vendor selection process
- Work with stakeholders to resolve outstanding queries and questions
- Develop, document and enhance any impacted business processes
- Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures
- Input into the change stream articulating process change and future state mapping
About You
- Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst role, including experience of supporting implementation of large scale HRIS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Effective stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation
- Strong Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving ability
- The ability to make decisions around things such as requirement prioritisation, scope, assessing viability of solutions
- Requirement gathering is a key part of the role, so the ability to ask the right questions and distil information received into clear requirements
- Documentation and writing skills - creating documents such as use cases and business requirement documents
- Confident presenter - the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and to manage stakeholder meetings
- Business Administration Certification'
- Experience implementing Workday HCM at a business larger than 5,000 employees (Desirable)
- Experience working within the Aged Care and Healthcare sector (Desirable)
- Change Management experience/understanding (Desirable)
