About the role

The casual role of the Level 1/2 Physiotherapist is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Physiotherapy service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers.

The Physiotherapist will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients’ level of functional mobility and care needs, setting care goals and providing appropriate treatment.

Participate as a member of the HammondCare team in the application of the organisation’s Mission and values to the pursuit of its objectives in a patient-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.     


About you

  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
  • Experience in providing Physiotherapy Services in Outpatient Rehabilitation, or other Sub-acute areas of care (e.g., Palliative Care)
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ability to implement evidence-based practice.


Desirable

  • Flexibility to work across our 2 sub-acute hospitals in Northern Sydney (Greenwich Hospital & Neringah Hospital)
  • Reasonable administrative and computer skills.
