Are you an Aged Care experienced Registered Nurse looking to join our Night team? We are looking for an experienced RN or EN to work at our Specialised Purpose built Dementia specific  service - HammondCare Cardiff.

What is the opportunity?

At HammondCare Cardiff, you will leverage your skills and expertise, to support an excellent Care team to improve the quality of life for people with dementia.

HammondCare’s unique model of care, places our residents needs as your number one priority, creating a homelike environment, you will be supporting the delivery of person-centred, relationship focused care.

What will I be doing?

• This is a part-time clinical role, advising and mentoring and leading a team of Specialised Dementia Carers to support the needs of our residents.
• You will be supported by specialist dementia trainers to become specialist in your field
• You will be partnering with another senior RN on each shift, providing mutual support and collaboration throughout the night. This approach allows both of you to share expertise, assist with challenging cases, and ensure efficient care while fostering a team environment.
• Providing clinical assessment and input into how best to support the changing needs of our residents in all aspects of their lives
• Consulting and mentoring in case management, supporting clinical decision making and professional oversight as a registered nurse
• Implement and support resident comfort focus
• You will build relationships with residents, in alignment with our unique Model of Care, prioritising and respecting each person as an individual

What do I need to be successful?

• Must be available to work Nights week 1 – Monday to Wednesday  - 11pm - 7am & week 2 - Monday to Thursday 11pm - 7am,  52.50 hrs FN.
• Patience, empathy and a passion for improving quality of life for older people with dementia
• Value team work, but also the ability to work independently and show initiative
• Have current AHPRA registration with ideally 2-3 year of experience in an Aged Care setting
